TERMS & CONDITIONS
These terms and conditions have been prepared by Megabyte PCs Ltd in accordance with the current Sale of Goods Act and the Distance Selling Regulations 2000. This does not affect your statutory rights.
Whilst every accuracy has been made in covering every eventuality here in the terms and conditions. Megabyte PCs Ltd as a company is striving to bring new ideas. With this in mind are Terms and Conditions are liable to change without prior notification.
"Company" Megabyte PCs Ltd.
"Customer/Consumer" The person buying products or services from Megabyte PCs Ltd.
All goods remain the property of Megabyte PCs Ltd until paid for in full.
Payment is accepted by Cash, Credit/Debit/Solo card and Guaranteed cheques.
Goods paid by mail order will only be delivered to cardholders address.
Goods are not sold on a Trial Basis.
All Goods and Special offers are offered subject to availability
THE CONSUMER PROTECTION (DISTANCE SELLING) Regulations 2000
Under the above regulation the consumer has an unconditional right to cancel within 7 working days from the date of receipt of the goods on all Retail mail order transactions with the exception of trade, business transactions, computer systems and items specifically built/ordered for you, items where the prices fluctuate/volatile, Postage and Packing charges, unsealed software and perishable items. Postage and Packing charges are a separate contract and are deemed as a service that has begun and has been completed before the end of the cooling-off period.
To exercise the above right the consumer must send notice of cancellation in writing. This can be done by fax, e-mail or post. However if you send your cancellation by post, we recommend recorded delivery.
In exercising this right the consumer must take reasonable care of the goods. Failure to take care of the goods may invalidate the consumer's right to a full refund. The consumer must return the goods at his own expense, or make them available for collection if the consumer requests that the goods are collected by the company, the company will charge for the cost of such a collection. The company will inform the consumer when the collection of goods will be made within 14 days of cancellation.
A full refund will be credited to the consumer within 14 days of the company receiving the goods. The company reserve the right to charge for items returned for a refund if they are not in pristine condition. i.e. manuals or ancillary items missing or boxes damaged etc. A charge will be made against each item. This charge being cost of replacements so that the goods can be sold on.
All prices are in £ sterling, inclusive of VAT and exclusive of delivery charges. Delivery charges are automatically added in the shopping cart depending on the weight of goods. THESE CHARGES ARE FOR UK MAILAND ONLY and do not include sea crossing. Please enquire for charges on any Sea crossing deliveries before ordering goods.You may pay by any major credit or debit card through Paypal. We are under no obligation to accept your order. Prices, offers and products are subject to availability and may change before (but not after) we accept your order. All pricing valid on day of viewing only. So please check pricing on day of ordering.
Postage & Packaging
All goods are dispatched via next day courier providing the order has been received by 2.30pm, with the exception of Computer systems that are dispatched a day later to allow for testing. Please Note our delivery charges are for Mainland UK only and do not include sea crossing. Please enquire for charges on any Sea crossing deliveries before ordering goods.
The company cannot be held responsible for failure in delivery service.
All goods are packaged securely and safely but we cannot be held responsible for goods damaged during shipping.
The consumer is responsible for inspecting all Parcels/Packages for damage before signing for goods. Goods that are consequently found to be damaged and have been signed for as received in good condition are the responsibility of the consumer.
All goods returned to the company for whatever reason must be packed securely and safely, preferably in the material they were received in as to avoid damage during shipping. Goods received by the company that are damaged due to insecure packaging will not be accepted and will remain the property of the consumer. This will effect refunds on returned items.
All computer systems and components are sold subject to a 12 Months RTB (Return to Base) Warranty, unless stated otherwise on the receipt or unless an extended warranty is taken out for which we will issue a certificate. Software corruption is not covered under warranty and is chargeable.
We do not warranty the suitability of goods for a specific purpose. Customers should check the specification and suitability before purchasing. Incorrectly purchased goods will not be accepted for return.
Customers MUST use any Manufactures on-site warranty arrangements provided.
Opened software will not be accepted for return. Manufacturers at their discretion will exchange faulty disks.
Any attempt to remove or tamper with our or Manufacturers Warranty Labels will result in the cancellation of any warranty's offered on sale.
Goods damaged physically due to incorrectly fitting to manufacturer's standard will not be accepted for return as warranty will be void
All Faulty goods will be subject to our Returns Procedure.
No Goods will be accepted for Returns/Refunds or Exchange without proof of purchase ( E.g. Till Receipt )
Goods returned within 14 Days will be tested immediately were possible before replacements are issued.
Goods retuned after 14 Days will be returned to our suppliers for testing, repair or replacement, and a Returns Material Advice number issued.
Goods returned by our suppliers as Non-Faulty may be subject to a charge for testing, Faulty goods will not be subject to any charge. (Charges vary from £25-£45 depending on Manufacturer/Supplier)
Faulty goods returned will only be accepted for return if returned with cables, manuals and any ancillary items.
Goods will then be tested before replacements are issued. Non-faulty goods may be subject to a charge. Faulty goods will not be subject to this charge.
These Terms & Conditions do not affect the Consumers Statutory Rights
